SOBRE LA NUEVA CANCIÓN

Un poema de carácter religioso con el título de 'Footprints in the Sand' (Huellas en la Arena) parece haber sido la inspiración de Dolores al escribir su nuevo sencillo 'The Journey'. Chécalo en inglés y traducido al español aquí:

Footprints in the Sand

One night I dreamed I was walking along the beach with the Lord. Many scenes from my life flashed across the sky.

In each scene I noticed footprints in the sand. Sometimes there were two sets of footprints, other times there was one only.

This bothered me because I noticed that during the low periods of my life, when I was suffering from anguish, sorrow or defeat, I could see only one set of footprints, so I said to the Lord,

"You promised me Lord,
that if I followed you, you would walk with me always. But I have noticed that during the most trying periods of my life there has only been one set of footprints in the sand. Why, when I needed you most, have you not been there for me?"

The Lord replied, "The years when you have seen only one set of footprints, my child, is when I carried you."


Huellas en la Arena

Una noche soñé que caminaba por la playa con el Señor. Muchas escenas de mi vida vi sobre el cielo.

En cada escenca había huellas en la arena.
A veces había dos pares de huellas, otras veces había sólo un par.

Esto me molestó porque me dí cuenta de que durante los periodos mas duros de mi vida, cuando sufría de angustia, dolor o derrota, podía ver solamente un par de huellas, así que le dije al Señor:

"Me lo prometiste Señor,
que si te seguía tu caminarías conmigo siempre. Pero me he dado cuenta de que durante los periodos más difíciles de mi vida sólo ha habido un par de huellas en la arena. Por qué cuando más te necesité tú no estuviste ahí para mí?

El Señor respondió "Los años cuando viste sólo un par de huellas, hijo mío, fueron cuando yo te cargué."
